About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement, sourcing, and material planning team
- Strengthen demand planning processes using existing systems and emerging AI tools
- Monitor markets, cost drivers, and supplier capabilities for supply chain reliability
- Establish and monitor KPIs and objectives for procurement and supply chain performance
- Own supplier relationships and support new supplier additions
- Establish team KPIs, accountability structures, and growth goals
- Champion solutions, execution, and continuous improvement
- Partner with commercial, operations, and finance teams on cross-functional projects
- Identify process and technology improvements to drive efficiency
- Report to the Executive Vice President
- Lead procurement, sourcing, and material planning for a high-mix, high-volume environment of 10,000+ SKUs and 100+ suppliers
- Support demand planning, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of hands-on procurement/supply chain experience required
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial distribution environment required
- Desire to lead a team required
- Expertise in demand planning, supplier management, and negotiation required
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP required
- Must live in the Southeastern US
- Frequent travel to Muscle Shoals, AL; 70–80% onsite in the first 90 days
