About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reports to the Civic Project Manager or Principal in Charge
- Manages multiple small to midsize projects and coordinates all aspects of assigned work
- Determines scope of work and prepares strategic plans for project success
- Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs
- Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts
- Coordinates project team assignments and monitors progress against schedule
- Serves as primary client liaison and brings projects to schedule, budget, and scope completion
- Manages project communications and documentation
- Participates in business development activities and proposal preparation
- Pursues continued professional development within the firm
- Participates in firm culture and community events
- Upholds RFM's core values and performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field from an accredited program
- Eight or more years of professional experience, including demonstrated project management responsibility
- Architectural or interior design licensure preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of the overall design and documentation process
- Thorough understanding of zoning, building codes, and life safety requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, and fee with full responsibility for multiple small to midsize projects
- Ability to serve as primary client liaison and bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction
- Working knowledge of contracts, proposals, and fee estimating
- Proficiency in Revit and/or firm project management systems
- Honest, direct, and constructive communication; sound professional judgment
