About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source, analyze and maintain up to date information so Health Guides can support members with benefit options and available programs and services.
- Conduct quality audits and maintain accountability for accuracy.
- Maintain the content management system and member-facing benefits tools, primarily for small group and mid-sized clients.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to assess priorities for navigating the benefit ecosystem.
- Answer benefit questions and ensure members understand options and shared financial responsibility, including deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
- During peak periods, support the navigation team by sourcing high-quality care providers based on members’ needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with Navigation Delivery leadership, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to equip the Navigation Team to launch and support new and renewing customers.
- Provide external member and client communication as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrates in-depth understanding of healthcare benefits, i.e. medical, pharmacy, dental, vision.
- Demonstrates ability to synthesize benefit information, healthcare jargon, and communicate in plain language.
- Analytic skills set required, i.e. research and analyze information related to the client’s benefit offerings and ecosystem.
- Impeccable communication, both verbal and written, skills.
- Proficient technological ability / literacy; content management system experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, Word, GoogleDocs/sheets, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Goal oriented and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business demands.
- Ability to multitask and manage more than one project at a time.
- Continuous process improvement mindset and desire to enable NavOps to scale.
- Ability to translate complex competencies into common speak.
- Ability to organize work and documents that may come from disparate sources.
- Clearly organize information in a logical flow.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in benefits administration or the healthcare industry strongly preferred.
- Proven background in working with healthcare benefit structures (medical, pharmacy, dental, vision) and member tools.
- Demonstrated proficiency with content management systems and data analysis in an operations or enablement role.
- Experience in external customer or client-facing roles, with the ability to engage directly with external clients strongly preferred.
