About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guide specialty members as the “Pharmacist in the Family” to help them manage medications and disease states
- Engage specialty members via phone, chat, and email to provide a white glove/concierge experience
- Support members in enrolling in copay and patient assistance programs
- Onboard new specialty members, including assisting with drug selection, conducting specialty clinical assessments, selecting specialty dispensing pharmacies, and providing clinical support throughout the continuum of care
- Answer member questions about pharmacy-related matters
- Perform prospective and retrospective drug utilization reviews and comprehensive medication reviews
- Recommend changes to patients’ drug regimens
- Partner with Rightway’s Navigation team to provide holistic member support
- Contribute to Pharmacy & Therapeutics activities, including researching, preparing, and presenting drug monographs, therapeutic category reviews, and clinical policy development
- Ensure processes meet or exceed regulatory and best-practice standards
- Support prior authorization review for specialty drug product selection and formulary compliance
- Collaborate with third parties in administering Rightway’s clinical pharmacy strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pharmacy degree required; PharmD preferred
- Managed Care or specialty pharmacy residency preferred
- 3 years in direct patient care such as PBM clinical operations, Health Plan Pharmacy Department, or Specialty pharmacy
- State of residence required
- Multi-state licenses preferred and/or willingness to attain licensure in additional states
- Availability during weekdays within core operating hours between 8 am Eastern Time and 8 pm Pacific Time
- May be required to work an evening or weekend shift in the future
- On call approximately once every two months
