Key responsibilities & impact

Embed deeply with 3–5 strategic customers or prospects and map their close end to end
Automate manual accounting work, including bank coding, AP, revenue, accruals, commissions, reconciliations, flux, and reporting
Build and deploy agents that perform accounting work with controls, review steps, and audit trails
Measure impact through days-to-close, hours saved, and error rates
Identify patterns across customers and translate them into product features
Write product briefs based on customer insights
Build selected features from prototype to production with engineering support
Partner with product domain teams
Create reusable playbooks, templates, and agent patterns
Represent the controller perspective within Rillet, including audit expectations and human-in-the-loop requirements
Own customer outcomes and influence Rillet’s product roadmap

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years in accounting
Real month-end close ownership as a senior accountant, accounting manager, or controller, in-house or out of Big 4
Strong knowledge of GAAP, including revenue
Ability to defend accounting entries to an auditor
Based near the New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating
Legally authorized to work in the USA
Must answer whether future work authorization sponsorship in the USA is required
