About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast process
Partner with business owners to build forecasts and explain variance drivers
Consolidate entity and department budgets into the corporate plan across Riot’s subsidiaries
Own and enhance NetSuite planning, budgeting and project modules
Develop rolling forecast and scenario capabilities
Build and maintain capital expenditure budgets, forecasts and tracking for mining and data center construction projects
Produce budget-to-actual and cost-to-complete reporting
Manage, mentor and develop FP&A analysts
Set priorities and review deliverables
Partner with business segments and senior leadership
Translate data into insights and presentations supporting key decisions and strategy
Create and maintain financial and operating models
Develop KPIs, reporting and dashboards, including Power BI dashboards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
5+ years of experience in finance/FP&A, including some public company experience
2+ years of experience managing a team
Experience with NetSuite or another common ERP
Experience with multi-entity consolidation
Experience with capital project / construction financial tracking
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with BI tools; Power BI preferred
SQL or data warehouse experience (e.g., Snowflake) is a plus
Experience in operations, construction, or capital-intensive industries (energy, data centers, manufacturing) strongly preferred
Interest in Bitcoin and the digital infrastructure sector
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, detail-focused problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
