About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deploy and harden workloads across multi-cloud, government-authorized infrastructure
  • Own complex, mission-critical systems deployments in regulated/classified government environments
  • Secure Kubernetes/OpenShift or equivalent container platforms within accredited enclaves
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting stacks for 24/7 incident response and Day 2 operations
  • Remediate findings from penetration testing
  • Deploy and maintain Kubernetes across cloud platforms and disparate compute hardware
  • Mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews
  • Serve as a technical lead on customer-facing engagements
  • Build internal tooling to automate security and operations workflows and reduce manual toil

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in systems deployment, DevSecOps, or platform engineering in regulated/classified government environments
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex, mission-critical deployments, not just support/execution
  • Hands-on experience deploying and hardening workloads across AWS GovCloud/Commercial, Microsoft Azure Government, and Google Cloud
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent
  • Experience tailoring infrastructure to DoD Impact Level 2–6 and JWICS environments
  • Expertise securing Kubernetes/OpenShift or equivalent container platforms within accredited enclaves
  • Experience with image hardening, admission controls, network policies, and runtime security
  • Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting stacks such as ELK, Splunk, and Prometheus/Grafana
  • Experience supporting 24/7 incident response, penetration test remediation, and Day 2 operations
  • Expert-level Linux server administration, including Talos and Red Hat
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Kubernetes on cloud platforms and disparate compute hardware
  • Experience mentoring engineers, leading technical design reviews, or acting as a technical lead on customer-facing engagements
  • Strong scripting/automation ability in Go, Rust, Python, or Bash
  • Track record of building internal tooling to reduce manual toil in security and operations workflows
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance or eligibility; active clearance strongly preferred
  • U.S. citizenship required
