Lead engineering organizations through multiple company-stage transitions
Engage with the board, investors, and executive leadership
Define and shape AI-native engineering practices, organization design, and software-delivery economics
Provide technical direction on system architecture, AI and data infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
Enable business growth through technology by building new capabilities and improving underlying systems
Balance product delivery with sustainable, scalable technical foundations
Lead fully distributed engineering teams with high trust and high accountability
Build compliance requirements into systems and engineering processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of engineering leadership experience
Experience leading engineering organizations through multiple company-stage transitions
Experience operating at a scale requiring engagement with the board, investors, and executive leadership
Strong point of view on AI-native engineering and how AI changes engineering roles, organizations, and software-delivery economics
Ability to defend opinions on the direction of the industry and distinguish hype from reality
Deep technical fluency in system architecture, AI and data infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
Customer empathy and product sense
Experience leading fully distributed teams with high trust and high accountability
Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, fintech, healthcare, or similar is a strong plus
Understanding of compliance requirements including SOC 2, HIPAA, and state cybersecurity regulations
