About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert to U.S. Army customers throughout the sales cycle
Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute technical account strategies across strategic Army accounts
Lead technical discovery, solution presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept evaluations
Translate Army mission, operational, and technical requirements into value-based observability solutions
Position Riverbed’s Digital Employee Experience (DEX) and Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) capabilities within complex DoD environments
Guide customers through technical evaluations, address technical objections, and advance opportunities toward technical validation and successful business outcomes
Identify emerging use cases, key stakeholders, and opportunities to expand Riverbed’s technical footprint within strategic Army accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active Top Secret security clearance
Multiple years of experience supporting U.S. Army, DoD, or federal government customers in a technical, engineering, consulting, or presales capacity
Experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical professional
Strong technical expertise in observability, particularly Digital Employee Experience (DEX) and/or Network Performance Monitoring (NPM)
Familiarity with endpoint analytics, network visibility, packet and flow analytics, infrastructure monitoring, AIOps, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), or cloud observability
Proven ability to lead technical discovery, demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept or proof-of-value evaluations with technical and executive audiences
Strong communication and consultative selling skills
Ability to translate complex technical requirements into mission, operational, and business value
Ability to travel approximately 40%
