About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using Modern C++ (C++11 or later)
Develop robust unit tests using GTest and GMock
Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing and adherence to coding standards
Develop and maintain embedded-systems software
Optimize performance in resource-constrained environments
Work with embedded databases, TCP/IP stack, and middleware components such as NATs, MQTT, HTTPS, and gRPC
Work with data serialization technologies such as Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
Implement communication protocols and security standards such as mTLS
Contribute to high-impact embedded software projects for automotive systems
Collaborate with engineering and business teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software engineering, focused on embedded systems
Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust
Strong knowledge of operating system concepts, including memory management, concurrency, and multi-threading
Strong background in distributed systems, networking, and real-time communication protocols, including NATs, MQTT, HTTPS, and gRPC
Experience with Linux-based systems
Knowledge of embedded databases, TCP/IP stack, and middleware components
Experience with data serialization technologies such as Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
Experience implementing communication protocols and security standards such as mTLS
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Familiarity with modern build systems such as Bazel preferred
Experience with vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, and UDS preferred
Automotive industry experience or familiarity with automotive-grade software development is a plus
