About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and implement scalable ELT pipelines and semantic models using dbt, SQL, and Python on Databricks
  • Own the end-to-end data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, governance, certification, semantic modeling, data quality, observability, and lineage
  • Deliver enterprise-grade certified datasets that power executive decision-making
  • Architect and contribute to a unified React-based executive analytics portal with embedded analytics and AI-assisted insights
  • Design and deploy conversational AI agents over enterprise data products
  • Build metadata and semantic frameworks, RAG pipelines, reasoning engines, and guardrails for safe, compliant, context-aware AI interactions
  • Partner with senior leaders across Finance, People, Privacy, and Legal
  • Translate strategic priorities into scalable data products and influence executive analytics strategy
  • Define and uphold engineering standards, including scalable architecture, Terraform, CI/CD, version control, operational SLAs, AI-native design, experimentation, and operational excellence
  • Remain hands-on while setting technical direction for initiatives spanning multiple business domains and systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in Data or Software Engineering
  • Expert-level SQL and Python skills, including advanced query design, performance tuning, data manipulation, and scalable automation
  • Strong system design and architecture expertise
  • Deep proficiency with dbt and modern cloud data platforms; Databricks preferred
  • Experience with semantic layer modeling, business logic abstraction, data quality, governance, and lineage frameworks
  • Hands-on experience implementing GenAI systems, LLM agents, or RAG architectures
  • Knowledge of context engineering, reliability frameworks, guardrails, and evaluation methodologies for enterprise AI solutions
  • Production-grade interactive application development using Streamlit or React
  • Mastery of at least one major BI tool: Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or Hex
  • Strong data storytelling and visualization skills
  • Expertise in testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Git/GitLab/GitHub
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to translate ambiguity into structured roadmaps, influence executive stakeholders, and lead or mentor engineers
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
