About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with the wealth advisory team to provide retirement and benefit services, including 401(k), 457, 403(b), Cash Balance, and investment management services
- Lead due diligence best practices and business development initiatives across the firm's footprint
- Conduct client meetings and present retirement solutions, including quarterly investment reviews
- Research industry trends and provide relevant information to clients and team members
- Inform Wealth Advisors about retirement plan provisions and ensure funds are replaced according to quarterly due diligence reports
- Strengthen client relationships by anticipating needs, exceeding service expectations, and following through on commitments
- Conduct periodic plan review meetings with trustees and provide education and counseling to plan participants
- Develop leads and referrals while increasing current accounts
- Represent RKL Wealth Management's processes and investment philosophy
- Produce client and internal reports and troubleshoot challenges for plan sponsors
- Prepare the quarterly due diligence report and review legal documentation
- Communicate retirement plan updates across the RKL team and develop communication and education strategies
- Train and develop other retirement plan team members
- Maintain confidentiality of external, client, employee, and firm information
- Collaborate with team members, communicate work status, and seek continuous feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management and/or related field
- Knowledge and experience working with ERISA plans and ability to comprehend legal documentation
- 10+ years’ experience working in investment or financial management firm with client interaction
- Current license or registration: FINRA Series 65; or 7 and 66 (combined and active within last two years); or CFA; or CFP
- ASPPA certified, CFP a plus
- Experience using CRM tools
- Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Previous experience with various investment tools a plus (e.g. Bloomberg, Charles Schwab, Tamarac etc)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills
- Project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
- Ability to meet performance targets
- Ability to listen to client needs and provide financial solutions
- Ability to adapt to change
- Ability to work outside normal business hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel to local and non-local clients; overnight travel may be required
- Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to remain stationary as needed and occasionally move within offices
- Ability to operate computers and office productivity machinery
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
