About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute comprehensive month-end accounting tasks, including revenue, inventory adjustments, and depreciation
  • Code bank and credit card activity and communicate with clients regarding inquiries
  • Analyze financial statements and make adjustments for financial presentations during month-end close meetings
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor and customer relationships
  • Conduct bill payments and maintain records using Bill and similar systems
  • Oversee payroll processing, including recording entries and accruals, tax compliance, and timely filings
  • Work with client systems to ensure integration with accounting software
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems and processes
  • Support special projects and additional assignments
  • Assist team members and communicate proactively about task status and issues
  • Contribute to firm growth and client satisfaction through knowledge of service capabilities
  • Stay informed about technological advancements affecting service delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in similar role
  • Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work accordingly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong client service focus
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously under pressure of tight deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced environment
