About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft and file defenses in civil courts and Small Claims Courts in cases before the State and/or Federal Courts, in accordance with the client’s instructions, templates, and communications
- Enter an appearance in proceedings when the firm has not yet been admitted, attaching the client’s corporate documents
- Update the firm’s and client’s systems with the drafted pleading and filing receipt
- Draft and file appeals and/or appeals in Small Claims Court matters, including payment and filing of the applicable appeal fee
- Draft and file responses to appeals and/or objections to interlocutory appeals
- Handle matters before the State and/or Federal Courts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Experience in high-volume litigation preferred
- Experience with legal filing and petitioning
