About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide overall behavioral supports to clients and staff
- Provide documentation of behavioral services
- Conduct direct monitoring, assessment, intervention, and staff training
- Develop behavioral supports, proactive strategies, trigger plans, staff interventions, and replacement behaviors
- Maintain systems for collecting objective data on client skills and needs
- Maintain systems for collecting program-specific information and key data points
- Complete functional assessments annually and as needed
- Develop and modify Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) to meet standards and client needs
- Seek input and maintain effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and supervisor
- Attend agency, departmental, and client-specific meetings
- Attend client psychiatric appointments and inpatient psychiatric discharge meetings
- Conduct departmental training as directed
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to a supervisor or department head
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required
- State certified as a BCBA or BCABA, or Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or licensure as a counselor
- Coursework in human behavior
- Coursework and experience in developing behavioral treatment plans
- At least 2 years of experience providing behavioral supports to people with intellectual disabilities
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Maintain good attendance throughout employment
- Must report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Comply with standards assuring the health and safety of all individuals
- Successful candidates must complete a background check
