About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage sourcing, RFQs, and contract negotiations for IT, cloud licenses, and laboratory equipment
- Draft and secure service agreements, NDAs, and software licenses
- Build an optimized vendor network meeting business targets
- Secure cost efficiency, quality, and reliability for internal operations
- Oversee purchase orders
- Resolve supplier non-conformances and expedite delayed deliveries
- Handle critical showstoppers and maintain smooth workflows
- Maintain accurate supplier records and lead-time data in the ERP system
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvements
- Provide updates to cross-functional teams during supplier escalations
- Support process automation and adoption of modern AI tools
- Report directly to the Head of Procurement
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA, MSc, or HBO in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in international procurement
- Background in the Automotive, Aerospace, or Defense sectors
- Proven experience in non-product-related sourcing and contract management
- Strong regulatory knowledge of laboratory, calibration, and software services
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Odoo
- Advanced negotiation and cross-functional stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English communication skills; basic Dutch is an asset
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time for supplier visits
- A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and background check are part of the screening process
