About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze existing finance processes and initially contribute to operations hands-on
- Build the finance function and company steering framework from the ground up
- Act as a direct sparring partner to the executive team and Advisory Board
- Independently review commercial contracts
- Develop future-oriented concepts for company financing
- Support financing rounds from financial modeling and documentation through investor meetings
- Build a lean controlling system, including sales costing and project controlling
- Perform forecasting and post-project cost analysis for the project-based hardware and systems business
- Establish active cash flow management for irregular project revenues
- Support organizational development and process design
- Prepare board-ready reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on mentality and willingness to initially contribute directly to operations
- Proven experience in setting up a controlling system, ideally including post-project cost analysis
- Fundraising experience is a major plus: active involvement in at least one financing round (equity or debt)
- Understanding of hardware cost structures, unit economics, and long B2B sales cycles
- Technical understanding of the product; in-depth engineering expertise is not required
- Experience independently reviewing commercial contracts
- Strong negotiation skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and excellent communication abilities
- Absolute integrity and loyalty
- Team player who is creative and curious
- Excellent German and English language skills
