About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design robotic solutions for warehouse and fulfillment operations
  • Work with Sales and prospective and existing customers to understand operations, analyze data, develop system concepts, and demonstrate how Robust.AI's AMR, Carter, can improve their business
  • Develop solutions throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and site visits through system design, simulation, proposal development, and technical validation
  • Analyze customer operational data, including order profiles, SKU profiles, throughput requirements, and labor productivity
  • Develop AMR workflows, facility layouts, cart configurations, labor requirements, productivity estimates, and operating descriptions
  • Build and analyze discrete-event simulations to validate system performance, evaluate design alternatives, identify bottlenecks, and support fleet sizing
  • Develop and modify warehouse layouts using AutoCAD
  • Participate in customer discovery calls, technical discussions, site visits, and facility walkthroughs
  • Identify missing or inconsistent data, develop engineering assumptions, and document inputs and methods behind recommendations
  • Partner with Sales on proposals, presentations, ROI analyses, and materials communicating operational and business value
  • Support customer demonstrations, technical reviews, and sales-process engagements
  • Collaborate with Product, Software, Deployment, and Engineering teams on technical requirements, product capabilities, implementation considerations, and solution risks
  • Improve internal analytical tools, simulation models, and processes

  • Experience analyzing data using tools such as Excel, Python, SQL, or Power BI
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, assumptions, and analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of warehouse or manufacturing operations, material flow, throughput, capacity, and labor productivity
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software for facility layouts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 20–30% for customer site visits, proposal reviews, demonstrations, and post-deployment support
  • Experience with warehouse automation, including AMRs, AGVs, goods-to-person systems, conveyor, sortation, or other material-handling technologies
  • Experience with discrete-event simulation software, preferably FlexSim
  • Strong Python skills for data processing, visualization, simulation, optimization, or engineering tool development
  • Familiarity with warehouse optimization techniques such as batch picking, zoning, order clustering, SKU slotting, and labor planning
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and other logistics software
  • Experience developing automation concepts, productivity models, capacity models, or ROI analyses
