About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from concept through completion
  • Lead and manage projects through planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestone timing, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Support engineering planning and effort estimation across the New Product Introduction process
  • Coordinate cross-functional team alignment and commitments across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Test Lab, Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Service
  • Monitor project performance and communicate status, risks, and milestones to management and stakeholders
  • Manage customer communications regarding project scope, timelines, deliverables, and change requests
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish action plans, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, industry standards, and applicable regulations
  • Track project costs, labor utilization, and capital expenditures
  • Support product development and engineering change management processes
  • Review technical documentation, specifications, and project deliverables
  • Coordinate supplier and contractor activities when necessary
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, metrics, and records
  • Analyze project data, identify trends, and recommend process and performance improvements
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, internal teams, and external partners
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Utilize project management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying levels of complexity
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and customer-facing projects
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
  • Must be located in the DFW area
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
  • Ability to walk for prolonged periods and frequently bend, climb, rotate, squat, reach, kneel, or stoop
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use project management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing processes, and product development methodologies
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
