About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and acquire new customers within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Analyze markets, customer needs, and business potential, and derive targeted sales activities
  • Identify relevant decision-makers and stakeholders and systematically build new customer relationships
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline and manage opportunities in a structured manner through to close
  • Develop new business opportunities to drive growth in the pharmaceutical business
  • Monitor developments and trends in the pharmaceutical market
  • Work with internal teams to translate customer requirements into suitable solutions
  • Develop existing customer relationships and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Prepare commercial proposals and business cases
  • Independently negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in coordination with Sales Management
  • Prepare forecasts and document customer contacts, opportunities, and agreements in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Customer Service, Project Management, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and support the handover of won projects
  • Expand the network and represent Röchling Medical at trade fairs, industry events, and customer events
  • Conduct regular in-person customer meetings and present solutions to stakeholders at different organizational levels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in business administration, engineering, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, commercial-technical training combined with relevant professional experience
  • At least five years of successful B2B sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ideally, experience in a CDMO, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or primary packaging environment
  • Proven track record in new customer acquisition and new business development
  • Understanding of complex decision-making processes and longer sales cycles within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in commercial negotiations and contract management
  • Confident use of CRM systems and modern sales tools
  • Fluent German and English, with strong negotiation skills in both languages
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Europe, up to approximately 50%
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and other relevant IT applications
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • High level of self-motivation, independence, and decisiveness
  • Analytical thinking combined with a structured and solutions-oriented approach
  • Intercultural competence and confident demeanor in an international environment
