About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the Orthodontist with patients to ensure the highest quality of care
Perform clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist
Prepare patient operatory and equipment
Assist the doctor during examination and orthodontic treatment
Communicate treatment needs clearly and calmly to parents and patients using the prescribed treatment plan
Recognize and identify prior authorization requirements
Ensure signed consent forms
Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs
Document all treatment rendered using electronic and paper dental records and forms
Perform general housekeeping and restocking as needed
Support the Conroy Windermere Rd and West Colonial Dr. clinics
Serve and provide superior support to doctors and office personnel

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prefer some Orthodontic Assistant experience but will consider those with dental experience
Familiarity with orthodontic appliances
Exceptional customer service skills
Computer literacy
Ability to work independently and anticipate team and doctor needs
Comfortable working in the front as well as the backend of the clinic
Respectful attitude toward fellow team members, patients, and the Doctor
Ability to work clinic hours of 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. with 1 hour for lunch
