About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned fiscal sponsorship projects.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with project leadership and funders.
  • Provide strategic advice and support for assigned client relationships.
  • Lead guidance and support for significant projects using an appropriate project management methodology.
  • Plan and deliver information-gathering and stakeholder-consultation activities.
  • Define, negotiate, and agree on RPA operational deliverables.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints; develop and implement solutions.
  • Lead team engagement, coordinate project activities, and build team capability through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Interpret philanthropic needs and recommend solutions to operational problems.
  • Support business development through external relationships, networks, proposals, and related content.
  • Identify, acquire, and manage project resources.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to Assistants, Associates, and Advisors; provide guidance, feedback, and training.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s and graduate work or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous professional experience in the philanthropic or related field with increasing responsibility and proven effectiveness in working with Grantmakers, programs, grant seekers, and non-profit organizations in content creation and or research (7-9 or more years of experience)
  • An understanding of the broad spectrum of private philanthropy, including trends in giving and key issues.
  • Must be willing to travel for client work as needed
