About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reconcile complex reports received from primary servicers in accordance with Servicing Agreements and Departmental policy
- Serve as relationship manager for assigned counterparties
- Research servicer reporting, cash settlement issues, and servicer inquiries
- Research and correct servicing errors or discrepancies
- Ensure accurate information is sent to the trust and investors
- Handle escalated servicer issues and direct servicers on issue resolution
- Liaise between investors and servicers regarding monthly reporting questions
- Maintain and update department policies and procedures
- Ensure primary servicers report and remit within Servicing Agreement timeframes
- Identify and clear cash receipts, servicer discrepancies, and billings
- Prepare wires for distribution to servicers
- Mentor new balancers and assist team members
- Assist other Master Servicing departments as needed
- Perform related duties and ad hoc projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required with equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Mortgage and Financial Services experience is a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Exposure to mortgage-specific software
- Accurate reporting with introduction to data analytics
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and established timeframes
- Ability to manage time, priorities and resources
- Ability to work autonomously under close supervision
