About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in an agile Scrum team at a large enterprise
- Develop and maintain a web application based on Python and Django with PostgreSQL in the AWS cloud
- Implement new features in Python and Django and further develop existing functionality
- Build user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Django templates
- Develop REST APIs and integrate external systems
- Use and further develop CI/CD pipelines, and create release packages
- Assess and remediate security findings from scans
- Coordinate business requirements with the Product Owner and business stakeholders
- Work in the client’s team in German, both in meetings and in documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- More than three years of experience developing with Python and Django
- More than three years of front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ideally with Bootstrap and Django templates
- More than three years of experience with REST APIs and integrating external systems
- More than three years of experience with CI/CD
- Experience assessing and remediating security findings
- Nice to have (not required): PDF and report generation, for example with WeasyPrint or wkhtmltopdf
- Nice to have (not required): Data processing with pandas
- Nice to have (not required): PostgreSQL
- Nice to have (not required): Geospatial data and coordinates
- Nice to have (not required): Projects in the railway industry
- Nice to have (not required): Initial experience using AI-assisted development tools
- German is the project language; native-level German proficiency is required for meetings and documentation
- Permanent employment is required
