About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting close process
- Support technical accounting areas including pension, equity compensation, goodwill, intangible assets, ASC 842 leases, and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Support and prepare disclosures for Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, including earnings press releases filed with the SEC
- Update and maintain accounting policies in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Assist with technical accounting research
- Analyze and research new and proposed accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards issued by the SEC
- Assist in preparing memorandums regarding the Company’s position and the impact on the Company
- Assist with audit requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 2+ years of technical accounting and financial reporting experience
- Public Accounting experience is a plus
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
