About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Accounting Coordination team in all accounting-related routines
- Monitor and record contracts classified under IFRS 16
- Perform monthly trial balance closing and analysis
- Prepare financial statements and ancillary tax and regulatory obligations
- Ensure accurate analysis of financial results and balance sheet accounts
- Perform and support the reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Process reclassifications and manual journal entries
- Identify opportunities to improve the department’s internal processes
- Manage document flow
- Review journal entries generated automatically by the system
- Record financial transactions
- Classify and reclassify documents, perform account reconciliations, and analyze accounts
- Recognize revenue, costs, and expenses
- Record provisions and perform accounting close activities
- Analyze, monitor, and close lease and loan accounts
- Participate in the monthly close
- Support internal and external audits by providing the required documents, information, and explanations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Solid experience with accounting routines and month-end closing
- Advanced knowledge of the reconciliation, analysis, and composition of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Experience identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies
- Knowledge of applicable accounting standards and practices
- Experience with ERP systems
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of PIS and COFINS tax credits on expenses
- Experience monitoring invoicing and reconciling payroll (FOPAG)
- Experience in the food retail sector will be considered an advantage
