About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the evolution and execution of the organisation’s enterprise-wide information management strategy
  • Ensure data and information assets are governed, structured, and secured in line with regulatory, legislative, and nuclear industry standards
  • Work closely with the CISO and key stakeholders to develop the information management programme
  • Evolve arrangements with core partners and customers to enshrine compliance and commercial objectives
  • Maintain process and policy suites supporting data and digital activities
  • Develop a structured assurance programme for information maturity
  • Oversee company direction on information on behalf of the CDIO
  • Define, own, and deliver the information strategy with the CISO, delivery Heads, and business stakeholders
  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide information management vision and strategy
  • Oversee information and data processes
  • Drive change and training to embed secure information practices
  • Develop company IMS data and information processes
  • Champion information as a corporate asset and support digital transformation
  • Oversee information management between the company and core partners and customers
  • Maintain a holistic view of information-related activity
  • Provide conflict resolution and pragmatic decision-making mechanisms
  • Develop, implement, and maintain information and data policies, standards, and procedures
  • Lead the business-wide Information Management Group
  • Ensure data classification, labelling, and handling policies are operationally effective
  • Manage information risk for the CDIO
  • Ensure compliance with applicable information security, privacy, legal, and nuclear-sector standards
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, and Compliance on data-related regulatory risks
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections
  • Sponsor information-related non-conformance and compliance remediation
  • Lead and evolve the multi-year information management programme
  • Define and track information management maturity and assurance KPIs
  • Manage vendors and solution implementation for document management, data discovery, and classification tools
  • Embed information principles into new projects and systems
  • Lead information governance, policy, and compliance training and awareness campaigns
  • Act as senior point of contact for enterprise-wide information management concerns
  • Participate in competency-based interviews and potentially provide evidence of document management capability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tangible examples of setting a strategy, governing and managing Information Management frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Ability to establish programmes of work to deliver the strategy
  • Ability to partner with the business and drive outcomes
  • Experience managing business relationships and delivering through teams without direct control of resources
  • Experience creating strategies and plans for Information Management
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and through multiple methods
  • Ability to rationalise complex information at high and detailed levels
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Recognised and related qualifications/training in Information Management, privacy, or security
  • BPSS clearance
  • Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Satisfactory basic financial probity check
