About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the effective delivery of assigned projects and work packages within a wider programme environment
- Coordinate scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and stakeholder activities to achieve agreed outcomes
- Monitor performance, manage risks and escalate issues where required to maintain delivery momentum
- Drive continuous improvement and apply lessons learned
- Support a positive, collaborative working environment throughout project delivery
- Report to a Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager
- Support delivery of key Civil and Construction projects and work packages across the Programme Directorate
- Travel occasionally to support project and stakeholder activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in a relevant discipline, project management qualification (such as APM PMQ) or equivalent demonstrable experience delivering complex projects
- Experience managing complex civil engineering, construction or technology projects
- Experience with planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk and change management activities
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, simplify complex topics and facilitate discussions
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Power BI or similar platforms
- Applicants must obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
