About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development of schedules meeting customer contractual and business requirements
Integrate sub-contract packages into schedules
Validate dependencies, milestones, schedule integrity, and critical paths
Support PMO scheduling standards and governance frameworks
Coordinate with lead planners, project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
Prepare and present high-level project status reports to senior management
Explain critical path and float positions
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
Provide training and support on scheduling best practices and tools
Anticipate and manage future planning resource demands
Integrate schedules with cost for Earned Value Analysis and other performance metrics
Manage the planning team and ensure adherence to PMO standards
Support delivery of integrated schedules across all project phases
Support planning teams in meeting contractual deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Applicants required to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
Planning subject matter expertise
Knowledge of best-practice planning techniques, scheduling tools, PMO standards, governance frameworks, and industry standards
Ability to develop credible project plans aligned with business and customer goals
Ability to understand scope and assign sub-contracts, resources, labour hours, and costs
Ability to identify dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and critical paths
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, engineers, lead planners, and sub-contractors
Ability to manage planning teams and provide training on scheduling best practices and tools
Experience integrating schedules with cost for Earned Value Analysis and performance metrics
Transferable skills and sector-jump applications welcomed
