About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the day-to-day operation of core privacy processes
- Manage all Data Subject Requests
- Own and maintain the Record of Processing Activities
- Drive ROPA updates across the organisation
- Establish and operationalise the DPIA process
- Embed privacy in projects
- Act as the first point of contact for privacy queries
- Support data breach responses
- Report directly to the Head of Information Management and external Data Protection Officer
- Strengthen and evolve the organisation’s risk-based privacy controls and privacy programme
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid understanding of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, privacy principles, and operational privacy processes
- Experience delivering privacy activities including DSR handling, DPIAs, ROPA management, and risk-based decision-making
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience designing or operating privacy processes within a wider organisation
- Applicants must obtain BPSS clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a DBS check
- Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
- IAPP qualifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are beneficial but not essential
