About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and deliver Development activities including Verification & Validation, Build/Experiment definition across Component, Bench Engine and Installed Verification (Flight Test), and delivery of V&V data to programmes
Deliver product verification strategy, structured verification plan and Product Development Plan
Support and coach project teams in verification activities and drive appropriate V&V behaviours
Support engineering programmes and subsystem teams in planning engine verification and validation tests
Manage substantiation evidence and clearance/acceptance documentation
Manage aircraft integration issues supporting the programme
Run Risk Management and Project Gated Review Processes for development packages
Develop and communicate delivery plans, removing risks and barriers
Execute and manage the Engine Development Plan/Product Development Plan
Use R-E-D-V health data reports to drive programme schedules and remove technical risk
Communicate assembly, test and strip instructions for experimental activities and verification programmes
Define experiment/test requirements and configuration hardware requirements
Interface with Operations and Test and Measurement capabilities
Establish parts demand for the Engine Development Programme
Provide validated test data to the programme

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree level in Engineering or equivalent
Experience in relevant domain is preferred but not essential
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
Must hold a Security Check (SC) clearance, or be supported by Rolls-Royce in applying for it
Must be a UK national or, in MoD-approved cases, a dual national
Candidates in certain locations may be required to complete an online assessment, including cognitive and behavioural aptitude testing
