About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete rotational ‘gigs’ across the engineering lifecycle
  • Gain experience in mechanical systems, manufacturing, software and digital, electrical, materials and development
  • Work within central Engineering, Technology and Safety teams or Civil Aerospace, Defence, Defence Nuclear Submarines or Power Systems divisions
  • Support projects such as exploring nuclear options for naval submarines and developing next-generation demonstrator engines
  • Use data, technology and AI to improve environmental performance, test marine automation software and strengthen cyber-security
  • Develop through digital learning, on-the-job training and opportunities to bring ideas to life
  • Build a professional network across Rolls-Royce
  • Travel between sites as required by business needs and rotational gigs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in any STEM subject, or joint honours degrees that combine STEM with subjects like business or economics
  • Strong passion for the future of technology
  • Willingness to work flexibly and travel between locations and sites during rotational ‘gigs’
  • Open-minded, curious and agile approach to work and career development
  • UK national, or dual national in MoD-approved cases, for applications involving Rolls-Royce Defence business areas
  • Ability to obtain Security Check clearance for Rolls-Royce Defence business areas
