About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate, govern, and continuously improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and experience of global learning at Rolls-Royce.
  • Lead and govern a portfolio of continuous improvement projects across the Learning function.
  • Establish and maintain Learning Excellence standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and Design Thinking methodologies to improve learning processes, cycle times, cost efficiency, and impact.
  • Define and track learning performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive standardization while enabling regional flexibility for local business and regulatory needs.
  • Lead innovation in learning operations, digital learning, and workforce capability development.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the global EML programme, including planning, execution, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and report completion data and learner feedback; monitor non-compliance and recommend or apply consequences.
  • Maintain accurate, auditable completion records for internal and external compliance reporting.
  • Present programme updates and compliance/risk factors to executive sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate programme effectiveness and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve engagement and compliance rates.
  • Oversee budget, approvals, and spend transparency.
  • Establish and manage Learning governance mechanisms, including prioritization, intake, and review of initiatives and compliance programs.
  • Facilitate collaboration across global, regional, and business-unit learning teams.
  • Advise senior leaders on learning risk, compliance exposure, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting, dashboards, and executive updates.
  • Partner with HRIS/LMS and Digital teams on compliance tracking, reporting, analytics, data integrity, and system adoption.
  • Enable learning teams through tools, templates, playbooks, and capability-building related to continuous improvement and compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Learning, Engineering, Business, Quality, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Quality, Compliance, or Operational Excellence in a global, regulated environment.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies.
  • Ability to influence at ET level with sponsors and at all levels, ensuring framework principles are not compromised, stakeholders are engaged, and appropriate challenge is provided.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to develop and undertake reporting and analytics and ensure data integrity.
  • Ability to communicate simply and appropriately while adhering to data privacy sensitivity in some locations, including Germany.
  • Poland right-to-work check required as part of the recruitment process.
