About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver projects, programmes, and portfolios to execute company strategy, business cases, and business plans
- Drive adherence to established project management processes and governance
- Influence, manage, and communicate with key internal and external programme stakeholders
- Monitor, control, and manage overall programme performance
- Support the Programme Executive across the project portfolio, including planning quality, milestone adherence, capital spend forecasting and accounting, risk management, and deployment of best practices
- Work within the AT&C Projects and Portfolio team to shape future capability and capacity
- Collaborate with Civil Manufacturing Operations leadership and the wider organisation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong leadership characteristics, high energy and drive, good influencing skills, and a track record of delivery
- Experience in Infrastructure or other significant capital expenditure projects advantageous but not essential
- Core PM competencies including Risk, PMO, Finance, and P6 advantageous but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex information with individuals at all organisational levels
- Proven experience in core PM competencies, including Risk, Cost, Planning (P6), financial forecasting, and benefits management
- Ability to manage programmes/projects of increasing complexity
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complex environments
- Exposure to purchasing, commercial, engineering management, or other non-core programme management roles advantageous
- Member of a professional body and working towards APM Chartership qualification or equivalent
- Relevant experience from any grade accepted
- Priority given to employees identified as being at high risk
