About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Insurance experts to set strategy for future quarters
  • Identify and socialize technical initiatives that improve products, systems, and teams
  • Coach and guide engineers in planning experiments and projects aligned with strategic objectives
  • Contribute code each development cycle
  • Lead incident response and continuously improve system resiliency
  • Coordinate with Staff Engineers to establish and promote standards and best practices
  • Build platform-level tooling for faster data-source onboarding
  • Integrate data with partners
  • Accelerate experimentation cycles
  • Build analytics and data-science infrastructure for faster decision loops

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years as a software engineer
  • Expertise in Python, Terraform, SQL, Spark, Airflow, and dbt
  • Expertise in cloud architecture; AWS preferred
  • Expertise in machine learning operations preferred
  • Expertise in data-driven marketing preferred
  • Proven leadership of projects involving multiple teams across functional domains
  • Excellent communication skills with engineering colleagues and senior business leaders
  • Must be on camera for virtual interviews
