Key responsibilities & impact

Perform CT examinations and procedures, including procedures requiring contrast agents, according to accepted protocols
Manage patients during complex procedures and examinations
Operate portable X-ray machines and other X-ray equipment
Troubleshoot minor X-ray and CT equipment problems
Respond promptly and professionally to work-related calls
For on-call assignments, contact the assigned facility with estimated arrival time and arrive within the prescribed timeframe
Follow prescribed equipment safety standards
Maintain work areas according to client standards
Maintain accurate records, reports, and files
Document work processes
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 1 year of experience post-graduation
Current ARRT registration – RT (R)(CT)
State licensure where required
Valid Driver’s License
BLS/CPR Certification
Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screen and background check
Comfort level with CT examinations and procedures requiring contrast agents, as well as portable and general X-ray
Ability to use mobile phone devices and applications
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions
Ability to act calmly and effectively in busy, stressful, or emergency situations
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone, and in writing
Adherence to policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance standards
Ability to operate CT and X-ray equipment
Ability to maintain quality control standards
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively
Ability to lift and move 30 pounds independently and assist with patient positioning, transfer, and mobility activities
Physical endurance and ability to safely maneuver around patients, hospital beds, equipment, and other obstacles
