About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform routine and emergency ultrasound imaging and other sonographic procedures with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate proficiency in medical diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Communicate pertinent clinical information and ultrasound findings to the radiologist
  • Provide excellent patient care and maintain rapport and service quality with client hospitals and staff
  • Use PACS and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to obtain or enter appropriate care data
  • Exercise independent judgment while performing scans and positioning equipment or patients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience performing cardiac diagnostic procedure and related responsibilities required
  • ARDMS/RDCS certification required
  • CCI/RCS certification in Echo
  • Professionalism and effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population
  • Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Up to date on all vaccinations required for hospital employment
  • Pass required health screenings, including drug screening and background check
  • Current BLS/CPR
  • Capable of lifting 50–100 lbs, including patients, positioning aids, and portable ultrasound machines
  • Physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and complete multiple consecutive scans
