About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, fault finding, and repairs on building systems and equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems
- Monitor and operate Building Management Systems and Energy Management Systems
- Perform general maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and furniture/equipment moves
- Conduct routine plant and facilities checks
- Identify issues and ensure timely resolution or escalation
- Undertake Portable Appliance Testing and maintain associated records
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
- Support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facilities and building services across multiple sites
- Report to the Facilities Manager
- Help ensure operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and a high standard of workplace environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, building services, or a related discipline
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple maintenance trades
- Experience working with HVAC systems, BMS, EMS and general building services
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
- Flexibility with working hours; may involve extended hours on occasions
- Legal right to work in the UK with sufficient permission to meet the needs of the position
- UK driving licence
- Access to own car
- Ability to travel to multiple sites
