About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and enhance Data Engineering solutions using AWS and Databricks
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
Perform data modeling to support analytical and business requirements
Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes from multiple sources
Work with large volumes of data, applying engineering best practices and distributed processing
Develop and optimize Databricks workloads, focusing on processing efficiency and quality
Use AWS ecosystem services and resources to build and maintain data solutions
Implement data quality, monitoring, validation, and governance practices
Partner with business and technology teams, translating requirements into technical solutions
Document solutions, processes, and pipelines to ensure traceability and ease of maintenance
Support the identification and resolution of issues related to data, pipelines, and performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience as a Senior Data Engineer
Proven experience with Databricks in enterprise environments
Practical experience with AWS and its Data Engineering services
Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling
Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
Knowledge of large-scale data processing and modern data architectures
Experience with Python and/or PySpark
Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
Experience integrating data from multiple sources
Knowledge of data quality, governance, and security best practices
Ability to work independently, with organization and accountability, on enterprise projects
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams
Preferred: experience with Lakehouse architecture
Preferred: knowledge of Delta Lake
Preferred: experience with AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, or Kinesis
Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices applied to data
Preferred: experience with pipeline orchestration tools
Preferred: experience working on cloud data platform modernization projects
Preferred: experience in customer service environments or with business-oriented solutions
