About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance Data Engineering solutions using Python, Databricks, and AWS
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines, with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
Apply Software Engineering principles to the development of data solutions and pipelines
Contribute to the design of system architectures and data solutions by evaluating technologies, patterns, and technical approaches
Support the advancement of Artificial Intelligence adoption in software development by identifying opportunities for automation, productivity, and process improvement
Explore and implement AI-powered solutions to support software and pipeline development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and evolution
Define and promote best practices, development standards, and technical guidelines related to the use of AI
Contribute to the definition of governance, security, and controls for the responsible adoption of AI-based solutions
Collaborate with professionals across Data, Software Engineering, Architecture, and business teams
Conduct technical analysis of solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and modernization
Provide technical support to the team by sharing knowledge and promoting the adoption of engineering best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience as a Senior Data Engineer
Advanced Python skills, with experience developing robust and scalable solutions
Hands-on, proven experience with Databricks
Experience with AWS, particularly data and processing services
Strong foundation in Software Engineering, including development principles, architecture, design, and coding best practices
Experience with system architecture and solution design
Knowledge of data pipeline development and optimization
Ability to translate technical and business requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions
Experience with Git, version control, and CI/CD practices
Ability to work independently in complex, cross-functional environments
Hands-on experience applying Artificial Intelligence to Software Engineering
Knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, AI Agents, or AI-assisted development tools
Experience applying AI to code generation, review, testing, documentation, or maintenance
Knowledge of architectures and patterns for integrating AI solutions
Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, or AI governance practices
Knowledge of PySpark, SQL, and Lakehouse architectures
Experience automating and modernizing pipelines using AI
Experience defining technology standards, guidelines, and governance
