About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support, administer, and evolve the data platform in a Kubernetes environment using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Develop and enhance Python applications, including web portals, internal APIs, and data APIs
Automate operational processes related to customer, user, license, and access management
Administer and enhance platform components using Helm and GitOps practices with Argo CD
Evolve the platform architecture, including version upgrades, container image creation and maintenance, and infrastructure as code
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and platform components
Implement and administer identity and access control mechanisms using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Keycloak or equivalent solutions
Implement backup, restoration, and recovery strategies for PostgreSQL and persistent volumes in Kubernetes
Work with Google Cloud Platform services, including IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud Build, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL
Develop and maintain integrations and automations using Python and the platform’s data services
Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions to ensure service availability and reliability
Identify opportunities to optimize costs and resource utilization in Google Cloud
Develop Artificial Intelligence agents to support customer service activities, incident diagnosis, and backup validation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid senior-level experience in Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, DevOps, or SRE
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud Build, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL
Knowledge of Helm and GitOps practices, preferably with Argo CD
Proficiency in Python for application development, integrations, and automation
Knowledge of SQL and BigQuery
Experience with Apache Airflow, preferably using Cloud Composer
Experience developing Python applications, including REST APIs and frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
Knowledge of automated testing, code version control, and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
Experience administering Keycloak or equivalent identity and access management solutions
Experience with backup and restoration processes for PostgreSQL and persistent volumes in Kubernetes
Experience with Apache Superset
Knowledge of or experience with Streamlit
Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
Knowledge of security for applications exposed to the internet
Experience developing and using Artificial Intelligence agents
