About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage Digital Delivery through Scrum methodologies
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to improve team ways of working
- Communicate sprint progress, risks and outcomes to key stakeholders
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
- Coach team members in Agile principles and practices
- Facilitate internal communication and collaboration across teams
- Manage dependencies, critical paths and bottlenecks
- Act as a key contact for delivery-related stakeholder communication
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards
- Guide development teams toward higher delivery maturity and Agile adoption
- Foster a high-performing, self-organising team environment
- Define and support adherence to Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
- Identify, manage and resolve impediments, escalating where necessary
- Ensure sprint goals are achieved and aligned with broader delivery objectives
- Create delivery metrics covering sprint estimation and team capacity
- Continuously improve estimation, planning and team capacity management practices
- Support delivery of incremental value across RS websites and strategic initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience of being a Scrum Master / Agile Team Lead
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
- Excellent facilitation and coaching skills
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with Jira or similar tool
- Experience using data from Jira or similar tools for decision making, reporting and performance improvement
- Interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with ability to work at all levels across functions, geographies and cultures
- Demonstrable skilled and compelling delivery leadership experience using various techniques in a team or other organisational groups
- Demonstrable experience leading across 1–2 engineering teams
- Knowledge and understanding of the software delivery lifecycle
