About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage complex tax projects, schedules, and teams, meeting deadlines and ensuring tax compliance
- Validate the calculation of indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ICMS, ICMS-ST, and IPI), ensuring the correct application of rates, tax bases, credits, and tax incentives
- Review ancillary tax obligations, particularly EFD-Contribuições, EFD ICMS/IPI, and invoices, ensuring the consistency of information submitted to the tax authorities
- Apply knowledge of Tax Reform, IBS, CBS, special regimes, invoices, and tax reductions
- Provide technical support and issue opinions on federal, state, and municipal tax legislation
- Advise on the tax impacts of new projects, transactions, and processes
- Identify tax risks, tax parameterization discrepancies, and opportunities
- Review the team’s working papers
- Guide the team in following the methodology and minimizing risks
- Manage the team responsible for carrying out the engagements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Solid hands-on experience calculating PIS, COFINS, ICMS, and IPI
- Knowledge of IBS and CBS
- Proven experience preparing, validating, and cross-checking data from ancillary tax obligations
- Advanced Excel skills for handling and analyzing large volumes of data
- Willingness and availability to travel
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and autonomy in managing deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with internal teams and clients
- Ability to work on audits, consulting engagements, technical opinions, and tax reform studies
- Knowledge of tax accounting
- Ability to prepare high-quality working papers with professional skepticism
- Strong organizational skills
