About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage complex tax compliance processes
- Ensure tax compliance and identify tax optimization opportunities for clients and operations
- Lead and validate the calculation of indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ICMS, ICMS-ST, and IPI)
- Prepare, review, and file SPED returns (EFD-Contributions/PIS-COFINS and EFD ICMS/IPI – SPED Fiscal)
- Provide technical support and issue opinions on federal and state tax legislation
- Advise on the tax implications of new projects, operations, and processes
- Identify tax risks and discrepancies in tax configuration (fiscal classification/NCM, CST, CFOP)
- Propose improvements to operational workflows and ERP systems
- Prepare documents, analyses, and technical explanations for audits and tax inspections
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field
- Extensive hands-on experience calculating PIS, COFINS, ICMS, and IPI
- Proven experience preparing, validating, and cross-checking data for ancillary tax obligations (EFD-PIS/COFINS and EFD-Reinf/SPED Fiscal)
- Advanced Excel skills for handling and analyzing large volumes of data
- Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and autonomy in managing deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients
- Knowledge of the guidelines of Brazil’s consumption tax reform will be a strong advantage
