About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work on complex tax projects, meeting deadlines, ensuring tax compliance, and identifying opportunities
  • Validate the calculation of indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ICMS, ICMS-ST, and IPI), ensuring the correct application of rates, tax bases, credits, and tax incentives
  • Review ancillary tax obligations, particularly EFD-Contribuições, EFD ICMS/IPI, and invoices, ensuring the consistency of information submitted to the tax authorities
  • Apply knowledge of Tax Reform, IBS, CBS, specific tax regimes, invoices, and tax reductions
  • Provide technical support and issue opinions on federal, state, and municipal tax legislation
  • Advise on the tax implications of new projects, transactions, and processes
  • Identify tax risks and tax-parameterization discrepancies, including tax classification/NCM, CST, and CFOP
  • Identify opportunities and review the team’s workpapers
  • Guide the team in complying with the methodology and minimizing risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Solid practical experience calculating PIS, COFINS, ICMS, and IPI
  • Knowledge of IBS and CBS
  • Demonstrated experience preparing, validating, and cross-checking data for ancillary tax obligations
  • Advanced Excel skills for manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data
  • Willingness to travel
  • Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and autonomy in managing deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with internal departments and clients
  • Knowledge of tax accounting
  • Prepare high-quality workpapers with professional skepticism
