About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Accounting and Finance Consulting team on various accounting projects
Demonstrate knowledge of complex financial accounting concepts
Supervise the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, data validation, and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial reports
Apply debits and credits and post journal entries to maintain the general ledger
Execute and oversee the month-end close process
Review and analyze income statements and balance sheets
Supervise, perform, and review balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee payroll accounting and monthly payroll reconciliations
Analyze financial data and create detailed reports using Microsoft Excel
Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff
Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls in collaboration with auditing services
Establish and maintain accounting systems
Evaluate and enhance accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
3+ years of experience in a hands-on role involving full cycle accounting with solid experience in financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting software packages
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the year, depending on client needs
CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Experience with systems implementation and process improvement preferred
