About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead multiple concurrent accounting advisory engagements related to capital markets transactions, complex business combinations, and transaction events
- Advise clients on transaction-related accounting and reporting considerations using advanced U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and complex accounting knowledge
- Oversee preparation and review of technical accounting analyses, position papers, and client deliverables
- Manage engagement economics, staffing models, and resource deployment
- Anticipate client needs, address complex issues, and identify opportunities to enhance client value and service delivery
- Collaborate with audit, tax, deal, and other advisory teams across the deal lifecycle
- Develop and mentor managers and senior team members
- Support practice growth and client relationship development
- Manage increased workload during transaction execution periods
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 9+ years of experience
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and accounting standards
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple complex engagements and managing teams
- Experience supporting capital markets transactions, complex accounting consultations, or audit readiness initiatives
- Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships
- Travel up to 25%, depending on client needs
- Flexibility to meet client and engagement demands
- Active maintenance of required licensure
- RSM does not intend to hire entry level candidates who will require sponsorship now or in the future
