About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage multiple challenging financial due diligence engagements
- Participate in transactions related to acquisitions by private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers
- Develop and deliver quality planning approaches with timely and responsive services and work products meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Build upon transaction advisory services work and post-closing opportunities through business development
- Identify business opportunities and enhance go-to-market strategies
- Lead teams, generate a vision, establish direction, motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, and coach staff
- Cultivate key client relationships
- Contribute to the continued growth of RSM's healthcare transaction advisory platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- Big Four or similar national consulting firm background
- Extensive experience in a professional services environment with a primary focus on healthcare M&A for at least three years
- Bachelor’s degree (master's degree preferred)
- Approximately 15 years of related work experience
- 8+ years' experience with financial due diligence
- 5+ years' experience on the advisory side
- Prior experience at the Partner level is desired
- Successful track record of building and growing a Transaction Advisory Service Practice, building/managing a client base, and managing revenue
- Experience servicing private equity groups and/or strategic buyers/sellers
- Experience developing and supervising staff both on engagements and in their career
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge and/or a proven track record of success operating in a professional services firm or large consultancy
- Ability to identify and address client needs, develop and sustain meaningful client relationships, and understand the client's business
- Thorough knowledge of transaction advisory services and M&A trends impacting the healthcare industry, with expertise in payor/provider analysis
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Willingness and ability to travel when necessary (approximately 15–20%)
