About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide independent and objective project oversight
Detect and respond early to project risks and issues
Conduct monthly project review meetings with Project Managers and Engagement Leaders
Update the Delivery Assurance Dashboard
Guide project teams on project status, financials, solution health and readiness
Conduct targeted reviews for complex or troubled programs and projects
Meet with clients to gather input and provide project status and solution health readouts
Coach teams and help develop skills and apply best practices
Improve delivery performance and results
Advise Project Teams, RSM Management and Client Teams
Build trust and collaboration
Facilitate difficult conversations and management intervention
Solve complex business and technical problems
Anticipate problems and provide solutions for clients and RSM teams
Review SOWs, status reports, project metrics, plans, milestones and financials
Assess project status using standard metrics
Architect and build processes and leverage digital technologies to improve the Delivery Assurance function

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science or accounting
7-10 years of related work experience as a Program or Project Manager on complex engagements
Experience leading at least one complex project, ideally 9+ months in length
Broad IT expertise and/or business-led digital transformation experience
Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems, technology infrastructure trends, governance/management and internal controls
Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills
Strong writing, research and analytical skills
Strong self-motivation and ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment with varying deliverables and changing requirements
Strong leadership skills
Ability to deal confidently with complex business and technical problems
Results-oriented, hands-on, action-oriented approach
Highly respected team leadership
Ability to encourage continuous improvement
Ability to rapidly establish credibility at all levels within RSM
Highest level of professional and personal honesty and integrity
