About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead project execution individually or as part of a team on client engagements
Manage full project deployments from discovery and planning through cutover, hypercare, and post-cutover support
Lead Microsoft 365 and infrastructure projects valued at more than $250,000
Manage SharePoint migrations, Exchange migrations, Modern Desktop deployments, virtual desktop infrastructure initiatives, M365 Purview projects, and cloud or data center projects
Use proven tools and techniques to execute deliverables aligned with clients’ business objectives
Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and approved budgets
Deliver projects in government contracting, defense industrial base, or other regulated environments
Coordinate and plan technical remediation work with IT and security engineers across identity, network, endpoint, logging, and cloud domains
Evaluate whether controls are genuinely implemented
Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and keep clients informed about project status and expected outcomes
Create end-user documentation, communications, and implementation materials
Build strong client relationships through positive support, clear communication, and sound expertise
Direct and motivate project teams, establish stakeholder relationships, and serve as an escalation point
Identify additional opportunities and support business development
Mentor diverse client engagement teams through on-the-job coaching while fostering an innovative, inclusive, team-oriented environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience managing Microsoft 365 and infrastructure projects
Experience leading complete deployments from discovery through post-cutover support
Experience managing hypercare periods and projects valued at more than $250,000
Knowledge of CUI, ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS, and other government contracting terminology
Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and the CMMC Level 2 assessment process, including system security plans, plans of action and milestones, scoping, and evidence collection
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong project, time, risk, and stakeholder management skills
Experience creating end-user documentation and communications
Ability to work directly with clients and interact with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s degree preferred
PMP or another relevant project management certification preferred
Prior consulting experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
